Karen Abbruzzese joined the staff of St. Peter’s as Office Administrator in December, 2024. She grew up in East Hartford, CT, and attended Manchester Community College, where she received an Associate of Science degree in Executive Secretarial Studies. She worked for Aetna Life and Casualty in Hartford, CT, then continued her education at Central Connecticut State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in English and a certificate in elementary education.

Karen worked as a teacher in the East Hartford school system before deciding to leave the workforce and stay home with her children. Karen has spent the last several years volunteering at school, church and sports events for her daughters.

She resides in South Windsor, CT, with her husband, Michael, and two daughters, Jenna and Ava.
