Weddings

We would like you to get to know the parish first before discussing wedding plans. If you or your family have already been part of the life of St. Peter’s, this qualifies, and you may begin your conversation with the rector, straight away. If not, what we would like you to do as a next step is to make friends here, and then talk with the rector about wedding plans.

Please call or email the parish office to make an appointment with the rector at a mutually agreeable time.

Baptisms

In order to be baptized, or in order to have your child baptized, the next step that you need to take is to make an appointment with the rector to discuss the way forward, to discuss the particulars of pre-baptismal instruction, and to discuss your plans for your future involvement in the life of St. Peter’s.

Please call or email the parish office to make an appointment with the rector at a mutually agreeable time.

Funerals

lightArrangements for a funeral or memorial service at St. Peter’s should be made in consultation with the rector, beginning when a person is near death. As noted in the Book of Common Prayer, “The death of a ember of the Church should be reported as soon as possible to, and arrangements for the funeral or memorial should be made in consultant with, the Minister of the Congregation (p. 468).” Further, “Baptized Christians are properly buried from the church (p. 468).”

Members are encouraged to have discussions with family and loved ones about their wishes related to burial. A booklet has been prepared to assist with the details of such a discussion, and may be used to identify and make known choices for readings, music, etc. A copy of this booklet is available from the church office, or may be viewed or downloaded. We are happy to keep a copy of your wishes at the office for reference.

Please call or email the parish office, to make an appointment with the rector at a mutually agreeable time.
